Veins Therapy

Veins Removal

Sclerotherapy is a popular method to remove spider veins by using various solutions called sclerosing agents, which are injected into the veins. Several sclerosing agents are available in USA. Dr. Velilla will explain in detail what is most appropriate for you.

The spider veins and varicose veins affect approximately 80 million people in the United States each year. Spider veins are most common on the face and legs, in contrast to varicose veins that are generally located in the back of the leg or along it.

What are the Causes?

Still not 100% clear what the cause of varicose veins is. Some predisposing factors that can cause varicose veins would be: being overweight, hormonal changes, pregnancy, menopause, some birth control pills, heredity, hormone replacement pills, and sitting or standing for a maximum amount of time. Additionally, varicose veins can be associated with pain, discomfort and in some cases become a serious medical illness that leads to endothelial damage and circulatory problems training.

Can it be removed?

The treatment most commonly offered is Sclerotherapy (injection of the veins). It is a safe, effective, minimal pain procedure that can be used to treat veins throughout the body. In Evolution MD Miami, we specialize in treating varicose veins and we also offer surgery under local anesthesia with any of the doctors who specialize in veins.
